Thanksgiving Past

***Join me over at my new blog:  Life a la Mode***

While most of the bloggers I follow are happily getting their Autumn on, I am still dripping with sweat the second I step out of my home. Thanks Phoenix. I know soon, when people are shoveling snow and scraping the ice off their windshields with their credit cards, I'll be skipping around in short sleeves and flip flops with a cool breeze on a sunny day and I'll be happy I don't live somewhere with seasons. But right now...well right now I'm green with envy. I love fall. It's my favorite season. But somehow, no matter how I love it, I can't find the motivation to decorate for fall when it's still over 100 degrees. But I am dreaming of the middle of October, when it's merely 94 degrees and I'll be able to fake my way into pumpkins and leaves and straw. For now, here are a few snaps of my decor last year.

Decor in the kitchen:

The dining room pre-Thanksgiving day:

Garland from Hobby Lobby

The table on Turkey day:

Linens & chicken wire chargers from Pottery Barn

Acorn & Leaf napkin rings from Crate & Barrel

  1. Just found your blog and it is just delightful. Love your table. My daughter lives in the Phoenix area and we are down their often so I do know about your hot weather. Here today it is snowing. So Phoenix sounds pretty good to me. Thanks for sharing your beautiful tablescape. You are an inspiration.
